About me

You will see from my CV that I have extensive experience and understanding of print and web media production, including service delivery, ad creation and production packages, as well as project development and team management.

My current role has provided me with skills that are directly transferable to a managerial role. For almost ten years, I have worked within print media at William Reed Business media, one of the UK's leading B2B publishing companies.

I was recognized for my achievements, receiving the Best Individual Contribution to Excellence Award at the Excellence in Publishing Production Awards. I am keen to seek new challenges enabling me to extend these skills, by applying them in the fast-growing, dynamic field of print production. As a committed, reliable and flexible team member, I was awarded a place on the PPA's (The Periodical Publishers Association - UK) first Production Management course, which has given me invaluable insight into the latest printing and pre-press developments in UK.

Design/Pre-press/Web: I am a skilled user of InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator, and after ten years of working within a full PDF workflow am adept at trouble-shooting repro problems and using pre-press software such as PitStop Professional.

Marketing/Print: I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including brochures, magazines, advertising, in-house communications and websites.

Project/Campaign Management: My role involves working on multiple magazine titles with conflicting press schedules, allowing me to develop a highly organised mode of working, which allows me to remain calm under pressure, focus on key details and communicate effectively with internal sales/editorial teams and the customers whose advertising I look after. I thrive under pressure and am well used to the long hours and dedication that are required to produce excellence in creative projects.

Relationship Management: Dealing with everyone from sales representatives to directors at multi-national companies has provided me with excellent exposure to the world of business and allowed me to develop key relationships that have helped produce a high quality of work and ensured repeat custom. I pride myself on a tenacious but conscientious approach that has consistently gained plaudits from my colleagues and clients.

Mentoring: Being a methodical and following a guideline allows me to train and mentor new members and freelancers with best business practice.
