About me
I am currently working on a 3 months contract as a freelance Web / Graphic Designer for STA Travel however I will be available as from 4th January 2011.
I resolved to study on a full time basis (15 months) for the web design and development diploma at Qantm College in London. The course incorporated further study of HTML, CSS, Flash and Photoshop. I also opted to study Illustrator and After Effects as part of the extra curricular provision by the college. While studying, I was trained on accessibility (W3C standards) and usability / user interface. I graduated in web design and development in December 2008, achieving an 84% pass mark.
From February 2009 to July 2010, I was employed as a multimedia executive at Voltimum. This is a multinational portal services company within the electrical industry. Within my work environment, I acquired a broad knowledge designing for web, print and television, hand-coding HTML and CSS, understanding server-side scripting (PHP), filming and video editing.
Therefore, I am proficient in HTML/CSS, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and InDesign. I have good working knowledge of Flash, After Effects, Premiere Pro and I am familiar with Content Management System (CMS) interfaces.
Since July 2010, I have been working on contracts as a freelance web / graphic designer. STA Travel and CD Waste Management are amongst some of my clients, for which I have produced web site, posters, MPU's, web / Flash banner, newsletters, SEO and content editing.
Time management, tight deadlines, liaising/communicating and multi-tasking are part of my daily routine. I have a passion for design, motion graphics, new technologies and I am eager to learn new skills, enjoying the challenge of putting them into practice and raising the quality of the work produced.
