About me

I am applying for the position advertised for a Graphic Designer, Mac Operator, Artworker and Illustrator, as believe I have the relevant skills, qualities and experience for the role.

Knowledge: I have worked as a Graphic Designer and Artworker for more than 25 years and worked as a Mac Operator for 14 years, also using PC's and as a result have a broad knowledge and understanding of print and production processes. I have experience in repro and pre press.

Experience: I have worked on a number of projects from concept stage through to finished artwork. These include: Job Detail sheets for Hospitals, Schools, Business and Mobile Phone Companies. I have also done advertising work producing Leaflets, Newsletters, Brochures, Posters, Postcards, Booklets, Programmers, Information Sheet, Business Cards, Letterheads, Layout pages, Menus, DVD/Video Covers and Greeting Cards.

I have experience using Apple Macintosh systems and PC systems and in particular using Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat (PDF's), FlightCheck, Toast and ISDN. I have always met my deadlines when working on projects.

Skills: I am able to take information on board quickly, decide what is required and work logically. I have experience of maintaining a small Macintosh network. I am highly organised about my work and capable of working on several projects simultaneously. At present my position I have been up-dating my portfolio and labour market skills at the DTT.
