About us

Villager are an award-winning indie film company based in London, specialising in branded content and non-scripted entertainment.

Villager was founded in a pub in 2015 by Georgia Woolley, Matt Cooper and Johnnie Campbell.

Having all grown up in small villages across the UK, we wanted to create a company that felt a bit like home; bringing a little slice of village mentality to London. We like to keep things simple, sincere and straightforward, so we’ve curated a community of filmmakers and creatives with the common goal of making work that works, and cutting the claptrap in between.

We draw our inspiration, insights and eye for talent from our work in documentary, film and music. We call this our audience-first approach to advertising, because our goal is to turn branded content into entertainment.
