About me

Graphic Designer Profile:

Extensive experience as a graphic designer for seventeen years,

in many different areas of the industry. Both as a freelancer in

long and short-term contracts and as a permanent designer.

I have worked for various different companies, in many different areas of the industry, both on site and from home.

For the last year and a half I have been teaching Btec level 2 Graphics, full time, at a college in Southend.

Design and Teaching Qualifications:

BTec National Diploma in Art and Design

DTLLS: Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector: currently

undertaking 2nd year, finishes december 2012, aiming for QTLS.

PTLLS: Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector: level 4

NVQ in Upholstery and Design for Upholstery.

English and Maths Level 2. Art, Psychology, French, Biology and Economics

Teaching Experience, Oversee and teach BTec Graphic Design at level 2, for a mixture of ages and abilities including 16-19 year olds and adult learners., Subjects taught: Adobe Creative Suite; Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop., Elements of general design, the design cycle, research and initial sketching., Concept design, page layout and typography, packaging design and corporate identity., Folder reviews and assessment., Other responsibilites: Maintainence 16 macs and 2 printers.
