About me
My name is Victor Lima and I'm a character animator with nearly 7
years of professional experience living in London. I have a BA in
Visual Communications/Industrial Design and I have been working with
animation & illustration ever since I finished college.
I started in 2D animation after I have done an animated short film as
my graduated project. I was offered a position as a character animator
and illustrator at TV Globo, the largest broadcasting in South America
where I was responsible for creating character animation and virtual
sets for a kid's TV show. After that I collaborated for two years as a
character animator in two animated full-lenght movies in one of the
largest animation studios in Brazil at the time. I also worked for an
animated TV series produced for Discovery Kids as a planner animator
creating the major poses and layout for ten, 11 minutes episodes.
Back in 2005 I started the transition from 2D to 3D when I attended a
short course in 3D animation. After that, a couple of years ago, I
completed a foundation course in Maya at an authorized Autodesk
training center. For the past year and a half I have been working as a
3D character animator. I have done work for commercials and for a pilot
episode of a 3D animated series. I decided to enroll at Animation
Mentor last year to improve my animation skills and I'm very focused on
this lifelong journey to become a good character animator.
