Dear Sir/Madame

I have experience of capturing, editing and producing high quality video in a range of context and settings including events, location and interview shoots as follows:

Filming for the Big Bang Science Fair filming the event and visitors such as David Cameron and Vince Cable

In my most recent post I have been responsible for making promotional films for young people aged 16-19. I have Experience working with internal and external clients to ensure a shared brief and vision for video work e.g. In my current role I have worked with the Leicester College Apprentice Recruitment Manager from original concept to finalisation of a promotional film which required me to liaise with employees at various levels of the organisation as well as contacting external employers and clients to arrange filming.

I have Experience of using a wide variety of technical audio and editing tools to achieve high quality video for on and offline use for example I am competent with both PC and MAC postproduction software; Adobe Photoshop, Aperture, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, etc.

I have Excellent administrative and organisational skills as whilst working as a volunteer and in my freelance work I have had to be responsible for all admin and organisation tasks associated with taking a brief, working with clients to their specifications and deadlines. Currently working within the Marketing Department I work autonomously and am accountable for my own time, resources and administrative tasks.

I have experience of problem solving on a day to day basis, for example when setting up a video shoot I often have to work within environments which are not necessarily the best settings for filming and I have to adapt.

I have to use tact, discretion and diplomacy on a daily basis when dealing with clients, managing their expectations and making suggestions to get the best outcome for their film and video projects.

I have prioritisation and time management skills particularly in my current role where I have several projects that I am working on at any given time all of which have their own deadlines and require me to manage these projects according to changing priorities based on the current demands and shooting opportunities and availability.

I have Creativity, passion and flair for various styles of video and the ability to work, edit and produce in different formats as demonstrated by the range of voluntary and freelance projects that I have been commissioned to produce.

I have undertaken further training in the last 5 years, most recently I decided to study for my Level 4 PTLLS , also a Ride Manager and have also taken my First Aid Emergency Care qualification.

I am educated to A level standard or equivalent - i.e. HND in Contemporary Lens Media.
