Dear Sir/Madam,

Following your vacancy from "creative pool" website I would like to have this opportunity to apply for the "Junior Designer" role. It has interested me very much due to my passion overall for design at first and my desire to gain experience in the industry. I am a recent graduate (2011) from Graphic Design for Interactive Media (BA Hons) at De Montfort University in Leicester with a Second Class Honours, First Division degree (2:1). Currently I am a freelancer and an almost Masters degree graduate, in Design and Branding Strategy at Brunel University, London.

My postgraduate course consists of modules around branding and innovation strategies, design research, creative enterprise and creative thinking, strategic design management and design futures. I believe that the combination of these diverse studies' experience has transformed me into a designer with graphics skills but also a strategist with creative thinking .

For my undergraduate degree, I had the chance to work and experiment in a wide spectrum of the digital and non-digital media. (ref. to *) Just to mention some, I worked on web design and development, UI design, print, TV and radio branding, print, interactive applications and been introduced to all kinds of sensory systems. Furthermore, the setting of interactive installations, motion graphics, film/photography, sound design, creative writing, sketching and storyboarding. Working under the pressure of the deadlines turned me into a hardworking and conscientious individual. My communication with my tutors and peers was always adequate and I had the honor to be chosen for the position of the Student Representative of my course. Moreover, in my second year of studies the academic staff and Dean of Art & Design awarded me the PC Priestley Award 2009/2010, 'For outstanding performance in the second year of the course leading to a BA (Hons) in Graphics'. My interest in digital and non-digital design areas has been stimulated from related projects that I have been involved during my studies and projects that I create in my free time.

Personally, I believe I can bring fresh ideas in an already successful team, provide with effective graphics design and creative thinking, by using all the knowledge and desire I have to contribute in an industry that really matters.

My professional aim is to work in the digital media industry and preferably as a motion/interactive graphic designer. My main goal would be the contribution at the creation of better looking and usable design solutions.

Lastly, It will be a rare opportunity for me to be a part of a company with such high standards and reputation and is a challenge for me to prove myself that I am capable to meet my personal aims and the demands of this position.
