About me
Valerio Vinaccia has created projects for the most important Italian brands such as Brembo, Ferrari Spa, Piaggio Spa, Momo Design, Ducati, Aprilia, Gilera, Moschino and Borsalino and many others.
In parallel he is involved in the creation of projects that use Design as a tool for social and economic development, for regions and national states.
Since 1994 he has worked as a consultant for development projects through the use of design, collaborating with UNIDO and numerous other international organizations and institutions. In 2013 he founded Woodly, an artisan company for the production of ecological furniture.
In 2016 he won the ADI "Compasso d'Oro 2016" award, the oldest and most prestigious industrial design award in the world, for the social design category.
Some of his applied research projects have been awarded in design competitions, such as "Plastic for Tomorrow" (Finland), INDEX 2005 or the "Ceramics in Urban Furnishings" competition (Faenza Italy), Design and Design, ADI design Index 2011 and 2021 and others.
Since 2021 he has been president of the CNA Wood and Furnishings.
In 2022 he founded Anako Aps, an association dedicated to the promotion and use of Design as a tool for social and economic development.
