About me
Hello,
While this is quite a long shot considering my location and background, I believe that the only way to fail for sure is to not try. Therefore, please allow me to introduce myself; my name is Vahishta Mistry and I've been creating online products and applications in India for 5 years. While most Indians who work online become engineers, I started in journalism. I worked for 7 years on print magazines, creating content for 16-to-21-year-olds.
Since then, I've worked exclusively online, creating B2C products. My first job was to conceptualize and launch websites for Worldwide Media, a JV between The Times of India Group and BBC Worldwide. I then worked for an independent web startup called Campusjunkie.com, where I ran the operations. I worked next with UTV, one of India's largest media houses where I managed websites for their entertainment TV channels. While it's been a great two-year run at UTV, I find myself longing for the atmosphere and the challenges of working abroad.
Since I am not a UK resident, I doubt I would be a no-brainer hire. However, I firmly believe that there are skills I possess that would make a difference to your company. I have a wealth of experience designing user experiences; managing large teams and I am very comfortable creating products for multiple platforms and devices.
Regards
Vahishta Mistry
