About me

I began working in Macintosh-based design and layout in the late 1980s. I worked for a variety of design agencies and PR companies in London creating artwork for clients many of which are household names; Ladbrokes, Prudential, Ballantines etc. I have created packaging for Laphroaig whiskey and in-house journals for Aon Insurance.

In the late 90s I began designing and developing for the web. Although I am NOT a PHP programmer I have a detailed knowledge of web development technologies and a sound grasp of setting up development environments such as web servers, IDE platforms, concurrent versioning systems etc. I mainly build websites using the Content Management Systems 'Drupal' and 'CMS Made Simple' the latter for whom I was on the development team for several years.

I have recently returned to print design and create books and magazines for publishers smith|doorstop.
