About me
I have always been a creative person and would love the opportunity to work in an industry that supports creativity. During my time at Durham, I was lucky to have been exposed to a variety of literature from francophone cultures across the globe and encouraged to do as much independent research as was possible. My love of literature grew and it has given me a real passion for the world of books.
In addition to my university studies, my current role as a conference producer has allowed me to develop my writing and analytical skills, as I am responsible for the production of all the programme and sales copy for my events. I am also responsible for recruiting marketing contra deals and sponsors for the events, enabling me to develop strong negotiation, interpersonal and sales skills which I feel would be invaluable to the role of co-edition sales assistant.
As you can see from my CV, I worked for eight months as a temporary office junior at Cocentra, a company specialising in educational market research. In this role I was involved in every aspect of administration, from filing and compiling information packs, to dealing with enquiries and organising travel arrangements for other employees. As well as my work at Cocentra, my current role requires me to regularly update the company database, respond to phone and email enquiries and assist with any other areas of administration in need of support.
