About me

I'm a Technical Fashion Designer with a varied skillset that includes creative design, drafting and sewing and I'm also trained to use all PAD softwares, Adobe illustrator and Olotech. I also started up my own design house as a way to push myself creatively and turn my concepts into garments that others can enjoy.

Why fashion

Growing up I had a hard time communicating with others, largely because I felt misunderstood. It wasn't until I discovered fashion that I found a way to express everything I wanted to say. To this day I rarely find the words to explain who I am, I now let my clothing do the talking.

As the found and lead designer at my own company I have the responsibilities of conceptualizing, Making technical packages, Making specification packages, Drafting, Making samples, Making fit alterations, Grading final pattern pieces and Sewing prototypes for all Kennie Mas Inc. Garments and Designs.

I also have plenty of experience working with the PAD software. I've used PAD to develop patterns for my made-to-measure collection. Ive worked in the industry using PAD marker maker and the PAD automated cutting system for larger production companies.

I studied at George Brown College where I gained a diploma in Fashion Techniques & Design,he course involved learning sewing techniques, hand-dra ing, pattern grading, working with textiles and using Adobe Illustrator for technicals.

After obtaining my diploma I enrolled in a post graduate program, Apparel Technical Design, at George Brown College. The course involved working closely with the PAD system, using it to draft and grade personal made-to-measure collections. Through collection development we use adobe & excel to create technical packages and technical sketches for each design within our collections. As our classes take place within Fashion Exchange we work closely with the manufacture as our garments go through production.

I have developed strong technical skills working with adobe to create technical sketches for high detailed gowns and suits.
