About me

At 9 years old, I wanted to explore the world with my Pikachu and become a Pokémon Master, but that adventure only happened on a Gameboy. At 10 years old, I started my Jedi training, but my Force only worked on automatic doors. At 11 years old, I waited every day for an owl to bring me my Hogwarts enrollment letter. Almost two decades later, I instead received my acceptance letter from Gnomon.

For the past two years, I have been a student at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation. There, I found a home of peers who inspired me with their creativity and passion, and mentors in my instructors who took time away from their professional careers to share their knowledge and challenge us to push our boundaries. The education and skills I have cultivated at Gnomon have prompted me to search for future environments where I can continue learning and be of value to a team.

I have become a look development, modeling, texturing, and lighting artist. My specialty is hard surface modeling and texturing, thanks in part to my industrial design background. As a designer and modeler/texturer, relevant research, an understanding of ergonomics, and the conceptual 2D process are critical to my ability to execute a product in such a way that it belongs holistically in a created world. As a storyteller, I always consider the story behind modeling a part, texturing a character, or lighting an environment. ​I want the audience to find the story within the details I've made, rather than feel objects on screen are lifeless. Having the power as an artist to touch people's hearts and minds through visual storytelling is humbling, but also freeing.

Now that I'm starting in the industry, thanks to my training and experience. Earning a living creating art is a privilege. It is my dream to build dreams for others!​ ​I welcome the opportunity to discuss this position further with you.
