About me

Launched in 2014, Creative Edit set off to a strong start, producing artwork for Sainsbury's, Nike, Coca-Cola and Rugby World Cup 2015.

Founder, James Gowdy, has worked in the creative industry since 2007 and studied graphic design at Richmond College in 2012. He went on to freelance as a graphics engineer, working on installations for Channel at Selfridges and Disney at Harrods - then on to an advertising agency, artworking and retouching for Honda and Budweiser, where he revamped the 'Rise As One' logo used in the global 2014 FIFA World Cup Budweiser ad.

James now lives in Kingston where, from September 2015, he has been studying graphic design (BA Hons) at Kingston University.

James continues freelancing - working around his full-time study - taking on more print design and even animation roles on top of the usual retouching and artworking.

In 2016 James has turned his focus to new challenges - pushing his photography work and social media exposure. In the first 2 months of 2017 has received over 30 thousand likes and over 100 thousand likes on features - the mentionable features being from Timeout London, The Imaged and Create Commune.
