About me

I am an industrial designer who has been working for an outdoor furniture manufacturer over the last few years.

This development role required me to design products using my creative 'juices' as well as with research, trend analysis and liaising with buyers. I then hand sketch designs, model the designs, choose or design/develop the fabric/finish on the product and then present them to the client for approval. Once the designs are approved and past the concept development phase, I was then involved in sending specifications for sampling, checking designs, creating manufacturing specifications and costing products for mass production. To do so I had to liaise with both manufacturer and suppliers in order to meet project deadlines.

This role also required me to develop presentations and organize exhibitions in order to inform and sell ideas/products to our retail clients. In addition, I was involved in graphical projects such creating brochures, developing presentation/concept boards, producing product catalogues and other marketing materials. At times these projects were performed solely by myself and at other times in conjunction with advertising and graphic design organizations.

As a result, I have very strong computer skills and am fluent in programs such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photo shop. Please note I also have strong 3D modeling skills on Solid works and am able to use 3D rendering programs such as 3D Studio max.
