About me

I would like to apply for the position of Copywriter, as advertised on the Creativepool website.

I have been working as a Freelance Copywriter since 2008, both full time and part time. Most recently, I worked for the University of Hull, writing brochure and web copy for their 2016 prospectus.

My experience includes writing quality articles, copy and web pages for a variety of agencies and companies. I write on a range of topics, including marketing, business, recruitment and education, as well as broader topics such as science, sport, personal improvement and health. As I have written on such a wide range of topics, I have the ability to adapt copy to suit the target audience.

I presently write content and regularly update a blog, based on a study skills book I wrote and self published last year. My aim is to develop the blog as a one-stop-shop for students and teachers to promote effective exam revision skills. I promote the blog via social media, and use analytic tools to monitor performance. You can find my blog here, . As you will see, although the blog is mainly content based, I occasionally use images and other media to enhance the message. If you wish, I can provide other examples of my work.

My work usually requires a degree of research. I am used to working within specified time frames and word counts, including for SEO purposes. All of my work has been delivered on time.

Writing has always been a passion. I graduated from Hull University as a mature student in June 2013, achieving a 2:1 in Creative Writing and Philosophy.
