About me
I have 23 years experience as a Designer, 16 of those as a freelancer working through agencies as well as independently. I have a background in general design for print and magazines. I have done long term contract work for, Mother & Baby, Top Santé and Gardening Which magazines, as a deputy art editor and senior designer.
I am very experienced with Indesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I use Illustrator and Photoshop creatively and have been commissioned to do high-res Photoshop work for various companies and magazines.
Working as a freelancer has broaden my design and interpersonal skills and I am happy to work on my own and in a team. When working as a senior part of my duties would be to manage other designers or freelancers, picture selection from internal and external picture library's, preparation of artwork and layouts for repro, generate ideas to a brief, attending picture and concept meetings and also commissioning illustration and photography.
