About me

I am a senior level designer with 11 years commercial design experience.

mainly in magazine publishing, print design and related fields.

I am currently managing a small design studio in Northampton to produce marketing work for Northamptonshire County Council as part of an ongoing design and print contract with CDS, my current employer.

My experience comprises, Business, Trade and Consumer magazine design, as well as creating and designing concepts along with their implementation, for high profile public marketing campaigns and events. I also have a little advertising experience.

As part of some of my previous roles I have gained experience not only designing magazines and journals and their relative marketing collateral, but also have become adept at commissioning photography and Illustration work and knowing where each of these are most useful and effective within publications to create the right tone and delivery of editorial content. On top of this I also have a thorough knowledge of print and print buying.

My current role requires the skill to manage projects from writing the brief to completion of final printed work as well as managing their production and workflow requirements. As a result I am no stranger to deadlines.

Being in a client focused environment has meant I have been able to finely tune my interpersonal skills. I am comfortable working with people form all walks of life and feel I can engage very effectively with my audience. My current role requires a lot of teamwork, to create, pitch and deliver design solutions.
