About me
Dear Rosie
I am writing to apply for the position of junior creative designer, as advertised on Creative Pool.
I am an experienced illustrator with deep technical skills (including 10 years' experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and a varied portfolio across print and apparel for clients including Time Out, The Guardian and Nokia.
I've enjoyed being a freelance - it's certainly taught me a lot about being organised, self-motivated and working independently - but I am looking for greater stability now; plus, after so many years of working on my own, I would love to work as part of a team again.
I am a fast learner, and your studio sounds like somewhere that I could use my already developed skills, while expanding my design and layout experience. I have experience in bringing projects to print, from start to finish, and my freelance experience has taught me to be an independent worker. My strongest attributes are obviously that of an illustrator, and I have spent a long time developing my own studio practice. The opportunity to move into a role with a web design focus appeals to me, and I would bring the same level of enthusiasm into improving my web design skills.
I bring an awful lot to the table: from creative flair and experience in managing and communicating with clients to a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, creative problem solving skills and confident technical skills.. What I don't know, I can learn.
I have attached my CV and portfolio to this email, and further work from my portfolio can be viewed at nascentideas.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Tony Easley
