I am writing to apply for the freelance copywriters positions with Morrisons.

I run a Greater Manchester-based copywriting and editorial business and work for a wide range of clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors. In business for eight years now, I provide the full range of editorial services - client liaison, research, writing, editing, proofreading and project management - to ensure that whatever words clients communicate do the business for them. OK, that all sounds great, but what does it actually mean

Researching and writing the entire content, including articles and editorial, for Edge Hill University's Faculty of Health Pulse magazine

Researching and writing hotel and resort descriptions for various Shearings Holidays' brochures and websites

Writing the content for two major new websites for Northgate Arinso - one of the UK's largest suppliers of outsourced HR

Researching and writing the brochure content for a research highlights publication for the University of Central Lancashire

Researching and writing the content for large NHS PCT websites for NHS Central Lancashire, NHS Oldham and Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology

Providing editorial input into a number of multi-million-pound Crossrail tender bids for Carillion PLC and liaising with staff all over the UK to write CVs

Writing the content for a 'packs and pounds' website aimed at teenagers, to help them quit smoking and eat more healthily

As part of the Clatterbridge project, turning complex cancer trials information into accessible information for the general public

Writing website content, the principal's weekly blog, faculty updates and press/media features for an 'Outstanding' high school in Blackburn - also a NPQH Leadership Development School

Researching and writing the content for a School of Design brochure, as well as an edit for smartphone/tablet, for the University of Central Lancashire

As you can see from the above examples, I work on a wide range of projects for a variety of clients, which means I can turn my hand to most subjects and write compelling copy for a variety of uses.
