I have just finished my second year of University studying Furniture and Product Design. I am in search of a 9-12 month placement in order to gain work experience in the design field, before returning to University for my final year of study. I'm hardworking, enthusiastic and a great team player all skills that I want to apply in the workplace.
I chose to study furniture and product design at university because the course was branded as being more hands-on creative and I realized if I was going to be doing it for four years I would rather be doing something I enjoyed (creating and making). However, after studying for almost two years the initial thinking has changed a little. I'd say I'm now more focused on problem-solving itself be it a product, furniture or interiors. I am also fascinated by new technologies and new ways of thinking to create solutions which makes design for me very exciting.
