About me

I have been working as a Graphic Designer for a Design Agency in Southampton since May 2004 and am now looking for a change and am in the process of moving to London. Previously I have also worked in an In-House graphics department for an international company for 3 years.

In both design roles I have gained industry experience in most aspects of Graphic Design including brochure design, direct mail, illustration, point of sale, exhibition design, advertising, website design, image re-touching and manipulation, motion graphics and animation. I recognise the importance of brand consistency in design, including use of correct typeface's and colours. I have learned to work efficiently under pressure, running a number of jobs simultaneously, planing my time well so I meet deadlines. In my current job I have also learned to communicate well with clients to find exactly what they want and need out of a piece of work. I can work on my own, or as part of a team, from initial concept to the final artwork stage.

I am conversant in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark XPress, Acrobat, After Effects, Premier and Dreamweaver. Currently I am developing skills in Flash and PowerPoint. I am familiar with both Mac and PC platforms and maintain a tidy filing system.
