About me
I first became interested in web technology at the age of 15 when I began to develop HTML websites for local businesses. My interests then moved onto Flash development and audio interactivity during my degree (using Max/MSP and Jitter). I have also begun to explore the possibilities of the Ruby object
orientated programming language using Rails as a web development platform. I feel that a Flash development role would be an ideal way to combine my interests in web development, interactivity and programming along with the creative freedom that this software allows. Since graduating I have been working as a freelance Flash developer and to date I have undertaken 4 commissions.
My other passion is for music and as such I have an in depth understanding of the current scene. I feel that this would be incredibly beneficial in the design of web applications for associates of the music industry. My background is in equal parts technical and creative and I have an firm grasp on the principals of programming and I am therefore a very fast learner. I see this opportunity as a fantastic start to my career in new media and a logical progression from my BSc. This area is both a professional interest and a hobby so you can be assured that I will be an enthusiastic and hard working team member.
My portfolio is large and covers many disciplines including Music Productions, Max/MSP Applications, Flash Games, Flash/HTML websites and Sound Design for moving image.
