About me

I am a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University. My most recent role as Graphic Designer was at CASCAID. My responsibilities included designing marketing materials, web design and maintenance. CASCAID develop careers guidance software for young people and adults. During my time there I had the opportunity to assist the Development Team with UX/UI work. I produced CASCAID's Moving On magazine, a bi-monthly print and digital publication, distributed to every school in England with added subscriptions. I worked as the sole designer on each issue for them. Each edition has a different theme, which I embraced and interpreted with a different design style for each edition. My layout skills are polished and pleasing to the eye. I am able to experiment with design and layout easily to get the best out of an article, whilst adhering to the branding guidelines.

My career to date has allowed me to address a broad spectrum of audiences. During my time at CASCAID I was tasked with re-branding their two main products; Kudos, which is for students aged 13-19, and Kudos AD which is for adults. At SYHA I was tasked with producing work for a diverse audience of all ages and abilities.

I am experienced in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to produce graphics and documents that need creating. I am confident at following and developing brand guidelines for all the sub-brands and projects to ensure the correct layouts and tone of voice is being used throughout.

Working to tight deadlines and with a creative team is a huge motivation for me. I have experience of developing relationships with printers and clients to achieve our goals with precision and to budget.

Advertising and illustration have always appealed to me because I enjoy how they interact and connect with the audience. I like to take into account how people think; how and why they act, telling the story to produce a result. Seeing my own designs in the real world and for people to connect, laugh and cry at them is an amazing feeling and one I never tire of.
