About me

I am a communications professional and copywriter, with a wealth of experience of writing and editing across a broad range of topics. I have been published in magazines and text books and receive commissions to write on a variety of subjects, from business issues to travel. Aside from my writing expertise, I am also highly experienced in publications project management, taking large publications projects from conception to completion. I have a long list of contacts in this field, from journalists to designers to print and distribution houses.

I have recently returned from spending five months in South America, where I travelled through five countries, recording my experiences in numerous travel articles. I spent two months in Rio de Janeiro living and working as a volunteer English and Spanish teacher in the area of Rocinha, South America's largest favela. My latest article 'Tales from a Favela' recounts my experience in Rocinha and offers an insight into the socio-economic factors affecting the local community. It is currently under consideration for publication in a major national newspaper.
