About me

I'm currently looking for a full-time role where I can use the media skills I've built up over the past 20+ years of working in journalism, in print and online.

Much of my work over the past 16 years at Billboard - the trade mag acknowledged as the music industry 'Bible' - was as a proof-reader/sub-editor. I have a keen eye for detail, honed through years of imposing house style, and I'm also very much a team player who is comfortable with working to a very tight brief from management.

I am experienced in taking raw copy through to press and have also worked closely on layouts/headlines and images with designers using InDesign, although I have more "hands-on" experience with Quark.

As well as working on print and online versions of publications and their special/third party supplements, I have been involved with editing and proofreading various types of marketing material, including media packs and conference delegate packs, also working on special supplements or third-party publishing.

After being made redundant when Billboard closed down its International Bureau in London at the end of 2010, I took some time out to recharge my batteries, while dabbling in the odd piece of freelance work. But I'm keen to return to the fray in a full-time role.
