About me

My name is Toby Fox. I'm a recent graduate from DeMontfort University with a First Class degree in Product Design. I'm looking for employment as a Product Designer, hopefully in London. I realise that the current employment climate is a bit grey at this time, but I am determined to prove that I am a good candidate to join a Product Design company. I was wondering if you have any vacancies for a junior/graduate designer to join your team. While i'm searching for employment a friend and i are designing and manufacturing our own mood lights made from pieces of recylced exoctic timber, acrylic and LEDs.

I have worked for a design agency in Nottingham (*) which specialises in investigating how humans react to brands, products and retail spaces. I have been part of research, design and presentation stages of projects for Nokia, Virgin Media and Speedo. The key was to understand the behaviour of people and why are they attracted to products, loyal to brands and how they navigate retail environments, and then come up with relevant and inspired designs to solve issues set out in the client's briefs. Going straight from university into a design job was a real shock to the system but I learnt to cope with the pressure and pace quickly, and think I adjusted well to it.

I may only have a small amount of experience in terms of time scale, but feel I have been exposed to things that someone with 2 years experience would have....More avialable on request
