As an Assistant Director I've led fast-paced productions across a variety of formats and environments, often under tight timeframes and with limited resources. My responsibilities have included:
- Drafting shot lists (Shot Lister)
- Scheduling production (Movie Magic, StudioBinder)
- Tracking costs and managing budgets
- Recruiting crew and negotiating contracts
- Scouting locations
- Compiling risk assessments and associated safety/compliance paperwork
- Coordinating travel and unit moves
- Running the floor and managing cast and crew on set
- Leading rehearsals and working directly with on-screen talent
- Overseeing all health & safety and safeguarding concerns, including shoots involving animals, young actors, stunts, prop weapons, remote locations, and COVID-19 protocol
As a Production Assistant and Production Coordinator, I've provided broad logistical and administrative support, including:
- Creative research and diary management (Calendly, Trello, Google Workspace)
- Booking travel, accommodation, kit, props, and transport
- Organising auditions, rehearsals, and screening events
- Communicating with agents and talent reps
- Generating contracts and producing call sheets
- On-set support and day-to-day production logistics
I want to continue to expand my portfolio of skills as an Assistant Director and I am eager to work in as many locations and capacities as possible. I am diligent, hard working, resourceful, and I make a mean cup of tea.
