About me

Tjer started his advertising career in 2005 as a Copywriter who was very sure that he wouldn't last more than 12 months in the industry.

After several successful and rewarding stints in local agencies like 180 Degrees and international networks such as Asatsu DK, he now finds himself driving the creative vision of Malaysia's #1 independent agency - FCB Malaysia. Since his arrival in 2018, he has helped the agency clinch multiple Agency of the Year titles from Campaign Asia and Marketing Interactive, and over 200 awards and accolades, including wins at the MARKIES, PMAA Dragons of Asia, Mumbrella Asia, Marketing Excellence Awards and APPIES, through his fearless approach to creative work. Tjer was also given the honour to sit on the jury panel for AdFest 2020 and AdFest 2021 for the Print, Audio, Outdoor and Film Lotus categories.

20 years on, not only is he glad that he has proven himself wrong, these days, he spends his free time trying to coax his young daughter into following his footsteps.
