About me

I have worked on mainstream consumer magazines now for 13 years in a very competitive automotive market. I am very interested in cars and motorsport and have worked as the Art Editor on Redline Magazine “The Uk's No1 tuning magazine” for the past 8 years. In that time I have managed freelancers, commissioned illustrators, photographers and designed in addition to the content of the magazine: covers, packaging and promotional items. I have designed graphics for exhibition stands, posters, advertorials for automotive companies and event signage. The automotive shows I have worked on include Japfest, Trax and Ford Fair. All the shows exceed 15,000 visitors and are seen as being some of the main tuning/track events in the Uk.
I am proficient in all the main packages, ‘In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator' I have always been good at meeting deadlines, working under pressure and being organised. I am very creatively minded and can easily look outside the box to generate eye catching innovate designs. I have designed many online banners, adverts and was also asked to design the graphics used on the refreshed Redline website. (*) For this is came up with the look, feel and graphics for the site.
I have very high level of photoshop skills (for manipulation) and can also prepare images for print. I have worked with repro houses and understand the whole print process, how the best results can be achieved, the materials and inks that can be used for maximum effect.
I am a very good team player, and have a good sense of humour.
