Dear Secret Sales team,

I am very excited about the opportunity that has arisen to work for you as a Freelance photographer.

Having recently graduated studying photography at University I have a lot of passion and determination to work within this industry. The reason I am particularly keen to work with Secret Sales is due to the well respected brands you work with, as my interest and portfolio primarily features fashion-based photography. As a recent graduate with ambitions to succeed within this industry I admire the entrepreneurial roots and innovative concept which have contributed behind the success of your company.

To pursue my objective of working within the photographic industry I have gained a BA Honours Degree in Photography at the University West of England. I have also assisted a number of photographers, these include fashion photographers, in which my duties involved setting up studio lighting, along with utilising programmes such as Photoshop and Lightroom.

Working in these environments allowed me to build valuable communication skills to ensure the team were at ease and satisfied with the production of the shoot.

I have also assisted for an agency-signed photographer who's work ranges from portraiture, corporate, events and often for newspapers such as the Guardian and the Times. This taught me how to work under pressure at a fast and consistent pace which I believe would be a key attribute in this role and to keep the work-flow on track.

Above all, I have first hand experience photographing designers collections for lookbooks and editorials. I have also photographed events such as London Vauxhall Fashion Scout, music festivals, local news features and editorial community based projects and therefore am able to work in a range of challenging situations. I feel my key attributes include being well organised, having a good sense of humour and having an ability to direct a team.

My pro-active, hard-working attitude and understanding of the importance of social networking has led to my work being published in a range of online blogs and magazines. I believe this awareness, along with my diverse portfolio which expresses my interest and ability to photograph a range of subjects will support me in this role and I would welcome the opportunity to attend for interview.
