To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing in response to the job advertised on Creative Pool (12th of June 2012) as Creative Desktop Publisher. As a recent graduate with a BA in Media Studies & English Literature I have a passion to work design with a focus on conveying meaning through layout and design, and creating or maintain a strong brand value. Based in London, I am a hard working, enthusiastic character with a flair and attention to impeccable design.

The role advertised seems like the perfect opportunity to flourish in a creative and fast paced atmosphere, closely tailored to my passion and experience in the field. The content of my degree has covered a vast range of skills concerned with new media as well as graphic design, page layout and print media. I take pride in presentation and detail, as well as creative ability to bring forward thinking solutions to the table. Knowledge of the Media industries in both social and economic roles carefully balanced with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, I feel confident I could benefit the company with my strong work ethic and professional attitude, as well as fitting into the team as a sociable character.

For the duration of my degree I have working part time for a hostel network with a strong multinational brand. Thriving within this working atmosphere I quickly became confident in my position undertaking a variety roles within the company. Working with customers over phone and email, as well as in person, I have the confidence and passion needed for a position where communication and customer satisfaction is of the upmost importance. Having consistently using the adobe CS package as well as Microsoft office, I am confident with creating eye catching and effective presentations. The experience gained from both education and working within the sector enhanced the skills important to a career in desktop publishing.

From a personal and professional standpoint I have a vast knowledge of computer systems (both Windows and OSX) and have experience design (mostly print, but basic web). I feel confident I could excel within the role advertised and am available to work shortly after notice. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
