About me

I have studied photography and used Photoshop since leaving school in 2006 when I enrolled on an Art and Design course at Hugh Baird College which had a photography lesson. It was within this lesson that I fell in love with photography.

In 2009 I then went to Liverpool Hope University where I had the great honour of being awarded an Excellence Scholarship which is in recognition for my significant academic achievement having achieved 360 points or more from my studies at A2 level or equivalent.

I had the opportunity to do a Combined Honours course which is a degree that allows you to pick two subjects to study at degree level. The two subjects I chose where Fine Art and Media due to the fact Media was the only other subject that had Photography as a component lesson within the degree. I found that I liked the degree of discipline within the media photography, as in we learned all the technical stuff and how to use different bits of kit along with the strict assignments in comparison to the relative freedom within my fine art degree. I put to use the skills I learned when doing photography in media when I wanted to create my own photography for art. In both of these areas I was still using Photoshop regularly.

During the second year of my degree I learned that photography was no longer going to be an available component to the media half of my degree and I am currently reviewing my options, hence my CV in front of you. By sending my CV I feel that I have a lot to offer and hope that it will lead into the opening of a new door of learning, discovery and possibly life long career for me.
