Dear Sir / Madam,

I am applying for the position of 'Media Designer' as advertised on creativepool.

I am currently employed by Norfolk Constabulary as a CCTV Technician. This a very dynamic role which has led me to work on a number of highly sensitive and engaging operations. I am responsible for enhancing CCTV images and audio which are often used as crucial pieces of evidence in convicting serious criminals. The role is very technical and challenging but I am looking to progress my career into an industry I am more passionate about.

I am a creative individual which I feel is reflected by my portfolio of video edits. For the past 2 years I have been freelancing in my own time as a videographer, filming weddings, events and corporate videos for small and large businesses. I have experience in using numerous creative software packages, Adobe Creative Suite. Video editing packages - Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro and Motion graphics applications such as motion and After effects. I've also experience in audio and 3d applications, Logic studio and Autodesk Maya.

I have extensive knowledge of shooting on Canon DSLR's and excellent technical capabilities. I have a solid understanding of lighting, sound and production techniques which I combine with my creativity to capture and engage audiences. Through studying Product Design at University I have strong conceptual design skills including sketching and storyboarding with a keen eye for detail.

In my current role as a CCTV technician, working to tight deadlines as part of a team or alone is a fundamental attribute of the role. Often working in high pressured environments with little or no margin for errors.

I am passionate, confident and hard working with lots of creative ideas. I feel I would flourish in an environment where I can combined my design and videography skills. I am more than happy to relocate and have a full clean driving licence.
