Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in the hope that I might be considered for the role of Photo Editor.

To tell you a little bit more about my background, I began my career as a freelance commercial photographer/assistant in Cheltenham for well-established commercial photographer Philip James. Having held the role for four years my position has progressed and changed slightly as I was given more responsibility such as handling clients, sourcing models, locations and equipment, styling and managing projects as well as data capturing and editing/retouching images ready for supply. I have worked with clients such as Spirax Sarco, Shell, Adidas, McLaren, Carlsberg, Ricoh, Lloyds Pharmacy and Nationwide and have personally shot products and retouched the final imagery for McLaren, New house Textiles, Nixon and Ruroc and recently had the pleasure of photographing Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button for the new McLaren/Hugo Boss fall line.

Furthermore, for the last three years, I have simultaneously run my own freelance photography business specialising in interior photography, portrait and product photography. Consequently, I now have over five years technical studio experience using Profoto, Briese and Arri equipment along with Capture One, Leaf Capture and Adobe CS5, Adobe lightroom software and experience using Wacom and Macintosh equipment. I am also an avid collector of photographic books and other publications and with a background in documentary photography combined with my professional experience I have a keen eye for editing imagery, be it for a narrative, editorial or single image selection process.

I am an extremely positive, friendly, courteous and outgoing individual with high energy, excellent interpersonal skills and would interact in a very professional manner around clients and I also work extremely well within a team environment. I am determined and focused and very capable when it comes to following instructions. I work extremely well in a fast-paced environment and am very flexible, as I know certain roles are demanding and require over time. I understand the value of communication and I am extremely punctual with acute attention to detail, as I believe these are necessary traits to ensure that the client receives the best service possible. I approach each task with enthusiasm and consequently have excellent organisational and administration skills.

I hold a full UK driver's license and I am available for interview immediately.
