About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having spent the last eight years as a graphic designer in a small in-house marketing team for an international education company, I have developed greatly and am now keen to apply my skills to a new platform. Therefore, I am writing to express a strong interest in the position of Graphic Designer, as advertised on creativepool.

Working collaboratively to maximise results, I support the Marketing Manager to deliver the best design solution to each communication requirement. As part of my current role as middleweight graphic and web designer and brand manager, I have gained experience in: identity creation, large-scale brand development and management, event styling, digital design, print-buying, literature creation and art direction. I design for web and email, and have experience in HTML, Joomla and WordPress. I also have experience of project management and have trained other members of my team on the use of Adobe software.

Branding is my main interest; I believe in the power of great branding and always strive to adhere to the core message of the identities I work on. I enjoy developing a brand, working collaboratively with senior management to ensure the successful evolution and providing visuals to best enhance this process. Having been through three rebrands at my current company, I have experience of taking a brand from concept through to delivery and have managed the corporate rebrand process across multiple touch points. As brand ambassador, I am tasked with guaranteeing the consistency of messages across all media.

The only designer in a small team, I am responsible for my own time management and prioritising my workload. I am at ease working across a multitude of projects at once, giving each my full attention for the allocated time. I am confident in pre-press procedures and work closely with print suppliers to ensure that each job achieves the optimal cost / quality balance. Additionally, I have developed close working relationships with printers across the UK and am comfortable conveying the brief to third parties.

I have a great enthusiasm for design and am committed to conveying and fulfilling the mission of those I work for.
