About me
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am applying for the Junior Account Executive/ Studio Assistant position with your company. I am a marketing and Fashion Graduate from the University of Hertfordshire and have gained a foundation in business, economics and quantitative techniques as well as developing interpersonal skills needed in the workplace. Additionally I have gained marketing/ creative experience from a variety of jobs/ internships.
As a loyal fan and social media addict, I was picked to become part of the UK's leading online beauty and fashion store ASOS, as an Insider. I have regular interaction with them; learning about how the company is run, attending their events as well as being the first to hear about their latest news/ products. Furthermore I network at events - meeting fashion and beauty bloggers. Additionally promote ASOS through social media. This has given me an insight into how e-commerce businesses are run and the importance of marketing.
Whilst working at Fat Face as a sales assistant for many years I carried out a marketing internship at their head office. I assisted with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns. Assisted with brand identification, marketing and public exposure. Assisted and attended photoshoots. General administrative duties and showroom support. Assisted with digital marketing such as website, social media and online advertising. Assisted with the creation of marketing strategies and plans.
I supported the team with the day-to-day running at the Sorapol press office, a luxury bespoke fashion house. My duties included: distribution of press samples, call backs, styling and maintaining the PR showroom and press sample room. Developed and maintained the press database. Monitored online coverage and assisted with PR activities that included the updating Sorapol lookbook and their social media platforms. Performed general admin duties such as calculating VAT returns for daily expenditure, scanning and filing press clippings.
Working as a marketing manager for a complementary private health clinic in Central London, it was my duty to promote and build custom for the business. My roles included: Managing and creating content for; the company blog, social media platforms, newsletters and updating the in-house advertising. I set up and organised events within the local community. Carried out monthly competitor analysis reports as well as monthly meetings for all therapists to discuss marketing ideas.
I am currently working as a corporate administrator for an international property and facilities management company in the city. Previously I worked as a front of house administrator within a team and have recently been promoted to manage a building of 6 high profile tenants, as well as manage the employees in the building; from the receptionists, security guards, and the building maintenance company. Therefore my working days involve being very organised, proactive, taking on multiple roles daily and meeting deadlines, to ensure a smooth running. While I enjoy the work I do, I now want to focus and build my career within the creative industry with a fun, exciting company, alongside a professional team, where I can really get involved and progress within.
My relevant skills and experience would be suitable for this role and I would be pleased to welcome the opportunity to work with your professional team. I look forward from hearing from you and would be happy to attend an interview. I have attached my CV for your consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Tessa Snelling
