About me

I manage Bespoke Print projects, from taking the brief during the initial consultation, recommending stocks & processes, through to dummy, proof & then delivery. I've always been very much a hands on & face to face kind of individual, so i spend my days whizzing around from Studio to Brand, one client to the next, with a bag stuffed full of paper swatches & print samples. If you want to get a better idea of what i get up to, look up my interview in the ever wonderful Grafik 'Industry People' section, just search 'Terry Shortland' & that sums things up rather well (not allowed to include a link!)

I work on the Manufacturer side of the industry, not a print farmer nor a print management company, so when i'm not sat down taking a brief, or dashing to the next client, i'm machine side passing jobs & never afraid to roll my sleeves up & muck in, i'll never be the type to sit behind a desk ping-ponging emails.

After two decades or so in the Print Industry, my clients are an ecclectic bunch, loosely i'd say the 'print geeks' & by that i mean those Brands, Companies & Agencies looking for quality & with an eye for detail. If it's a project thats something a little out of the ordinary, bespoke, luxury, maybe even a one-off, i'm sure to be involved. The people i work with range from International Luxury Brands, to Boutique Hotels, East London Creative Agencies to Japanese Banks, Galleries, Artists & the list goes on..

I'm proud to say i eat, sleep & breat Print & Packaging, i hope that this passion comes acrosss when you view the images on my page here!.

Although this is my personal page & as such my views, opinions etc, i work for DG3 Leycol, thats the Quality & Bespoke side of a Multinational Print Group, great bunch of likeminded people, with quite the armoury of talent from Press Minders to Craftspeople!.

As of April 2020 the division that i worked for, Moores, has now been rebranded in line with the rest of DG3 Leycol. So you may see mention of Moores on here & my social media, its the same me, same company but all under one umbrella now.
