About me
I am moving to London in the next weeks and would appreciate being considered the next time a photographer vacancy presents itself as I've had a growing passion for photography and would love to be able to combine my hobby with a career. I believe I am a creative individual with a keen eye for photography and am happiest when behind the camera creating visually stunning images. This position would give me the opportunity to continue gaining knowledge and experience in a working environment that takes fantastic pictures. My love of photography started when I was child but rapidly grew a few years ago when I was at university in Oxford taking pictures of the beautiful architecture and landscapes in and around the Oxford countryside. Whilst studying I had the opportunity to hire out a studio and did my first model shoot and loved every minute of organising the models, setting up the lighting and getting the models to pose exactly how I thought would create the best pictures. It was after this I knew I wanted to put the effort in to turn my photography into more than just a hobby. At the moment all my free time is spent camera in hand and I have really started to get interested in event photography concentrating on capturing the atmosphere and character of the event through close up shots of the people and acts in attendance. Recently I got the chance to take photographs for the “3 Foot Festival†and the “Fling Festival†in Chelmsford for Essex Council and the organisers were pleased enough with my photos they have invited me to photograph future events. I am also in the process of setting up a website which is almost complete so will have a much more comprehensive online portfolio shortly. I recently worked for a company called Pixie Photo which has a chain of studios around the UK and Australia specialising in taking photographs of Families and Children. I carried out a mixture of roles for them including promotion work which involves collecting and chasing leads for potential clients. The main role is to take the pictures which involves setting up the studio in the morning, photographing the customers and then editing the pictures before they are sent off to be printed. It is the photographic side that I believe I excel in. Outside of the photography work I have had many years of experience working in the Job sector, and filled many roles, including receptionist, office work, retail work, and warehouse. I am hard working, reliable, and organised. My most recent job was being a student ambassador, where I work with the public, give tours of the uni, work on reception desk and undertake administration work. I have worked previously in an office, where my job was opening post, answering phones, and general office duties. I am a quick learner, and love to expand on existing skills as well as use and adapt previously learnt skills. I am interested in the job offered, as it fits around my studies, and gives me an opportunity to learn. I have good leadership qualities, and embrace new challenges. I am very dedicated, determined, flexible and hard working. I enjoy new challenges and am an enthusiastic team player, whilst also having the confidence to work on my own and use my initiative as required. I have already acquired experience in Childcare, office work, and on reception desk dealing with customers both face to face and on the phone, also with communications in the retail sector. Also I have worked in many jobs that have helped me improve my interpersonal skills. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any further questions about myself or my experience please don't hesitate to ask. Many Regards Tegan Bratley
