About me
A freelance senior experience designer / graphic designer and illustrator living in SW London, I have worked on numerous accounts and new business pitches covering several sectors including automotive, technology, retail, property, legal and healthcare.
I have designed and hand-drawn pitch scamps, storyboards and illustrations for Unilever, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's, Pravha, Adobe, Ebay, Google, Nintendo, Samsung, Vodafone, Sky, Microsoft, Sony Ericsson, Epson, Change4Life, Wella, Vimto, Honda, Jaguar, Volvo, 2012 London Olympics, GSK, P&G and Visa 02 predominantly for event, exhibition and experiential presentations. I have an integrated marketing background.
Between 2013 and 2017 I was employed as a full time senior experience designer and illustrator for N2O a brand activation company in Windsor and Maidenhead and in the final year contracted to them as a freelance consultant working out of my own studio.
I was employed and retained by N2O for consistently coming up with pitch winning creative ideas and for my distinctive sketching style.
The work I have created has all been hand-drawn (although Mac proficient) and all the concepts are my own including mood board generation, writing up concept rationales and providing thought provoking headlines.
In this context my contribution at the concept /pitch stage can prove invaluable.
Prior to this I designed and visualised integrated marketing campaigns for various central London agencies so I understand the importance of keeping within the set parameters of a brand but at the same time testing its boundaries.
The sketches are all created in fineline pen directly onto trace layers (requiring 2 or even 3 drafts) without requiring an initial pencil composition and without an eraser. More freedom of line, movement and content can be achieved within the composition by using this more spontaneous and versatile approach, the final drawing thereby retaining more of the character and dynamism of the artists' individual style.
I am now on the open-market and available for freelance commissions.
My most recent contracts have been for TRO in Richmond and MKTG in London (reference: Michael Brown CEO).
My day rate is £400 negotiable for longer-term contracts.
