About me
As a developing designer, looking to amplify my current skill set. I aim to develop a wider understanding and application of my skills within the Design Industry. I want to design with the future in mind, to provide a service/product that meets the current needs without compromising the needs of the future.
Currently, I'm in my third year studying Industrial Product Design at Brunel University, on track for a 2:1 degree. In recent years I have been gearing myself towards a career within the creative design industry. Hence, I have taken on skill sets guiding me in this direction i.e. Product Analysis, Systems Design, Graphic Communication and Design process 2 for example.
The primary and progressive focus of my designs look towards improving customer interaction and creativity with the products they encounter. This can be seen in various projects in my portfolio. Furthering this I have also taken part in the various design competitions and challenges. The competitions range from Brunel's 24hr design challenge to the Design Museums: The Great Competition.
I am working on enhancing my skills within 3D product development. This entails the use of additive manufacturing such as 3D printing to workshop prototyping. I do strongly feel this will be very beneficial to a career and understanding in product development and presentation. I have achieved a distinction level in the use of SolidWorks 3D CAD working externally from University, following external tutorials and instruction through media platforms such as YouTube and CAD exams through City and Guilds program.
I strive to produce well executed content, that can still be developed through an iterative design process, where I continuously expand and redesign a project. having the appetite and inclination to push my creative boundaries and enhance my current skill sets. I am sure that a position with your respective company will allow me to gain professional industry understanding and growth in my skills.
