About me

I am a graphic and jewellery designer, also a strategic design branding researcher who graduated MA at Design strategy and innovation recently. My passion for design led me to pursue study and career in here, UK. Originally I started from BFA in metal design, and mainly studied about product design and craft. After the study, jewellery designer was my first career, and I wanted to push the boundaries and help people by maximizing possibility of design. From metal design to branding, in order to have diverse experience, I have been doing my best to learn many things in various fields.

- Enthusiasm

I travelled to watch lots of design fairs in Europe such as Milan, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Eindhoven, and Vienna after coming here. Those trips were originated from my enthusiasm for design by watching various ideas over the world. Eagerness to learn new things is part of my enthusiasm. My BFA study was mainly focused on metal and jewellery making, so I wanted to push the boundaries and experience more things in design area. I started Colorist qualification exam preparation to produce efficient design goals by using appropriate color matching. Computer aided design study was aimed to present my design more effectively, and it helped talking to the manufactures easier. Also, to be a jewellery specialist, I have got a qualification for gemstones and diamond grading. Studying design strategy in Brunel University enabled me to approach to design with different views and challenge in the world market. Integrated research based understanding with several issues such as branding and marketing made me to get wider perspective. I have got a belief that design is a strong base work to bring better outcomes. In other words, I have had flexible eyes to design area by experiencing diverse things.

- Trustworthy person

I had several team projects in schools and internships. My strong sense of responsibility let me help my colleagues efficiently, and I always finished my works before deadlines. When I took an internship in ELLE Jewelry Korea, the specific gold supplier in Hong Kong was required to develop our project urgently. We only had a simple product list of them at that moment, so I searched all of the Hong Kong Jewellery Fair participants lists, and contacted them finally. ELLE was a department of the retail company that sells hair styling products. Whenever the other department members ask design works or duties, I helped them happily. And I participated a group exhibition with school alumnus when I just started my full time internship, after working hour, went to the place where they were preparing for the exhibition every day and finally we have done it successfully. I am an equipped person who enjoys working to help other people, and calm under pressure. Any experience to make better design will make me an every-moment-improving worker.
