About me

Please find attached my CV in support of my application for the position of Print Designer (JW13354).

I am an experienced Creative Art worker with over 5 years work experience in print media having worked for the Methodist Recorder, a weekly national newspaper and prior to that, Legal Abacus, a bi-monthly membership magazine. Both of these positions have given me the experience and capability to produce high quality, accurate, print-ready artwork.

From working on a weekly newspaper I have the experience and ability to format, check and prepare artwork. I am able to support a design team at different stages of a design process as this is an activity that I regularly perform while working at the Methodist Recorder. I can also gather raw material for creative brainstorming sessions as I have superb research skills learned from my experience working for the bi-monthly magazine Legal Abacus.

I have a good knowledge of the print process and digital production as I am largely responsible for performing this task at the Methodist Recorder.

I have excellent attention to detail and excellent Mac skills with proven experience of using Quarkxpress, Photoshop and other digital systems. I am able to work well within a team as well as being able to work independently using my own initiative.
