Please find attached my CV in application for the role of Freelance Proofreader.

As you will see, I have worked as a freelance editor, proofreader, and copywriter for over twelve years, and have extensive experience in the preparation of high quality reference and educational works requiring meticulous attention to detail.

I can offer excellent proofreading skills, using either traditional mark-up or on-screen tools, and I am adept at working with foreign language diacritics and accents, embedded coding and house styles.

Most of my work has been carried out using Windows and Microsoft Office software, but I have some experience with Macs through editing software manuals for use with their operating systems. I can also pick up new skills very quickly - for example, to work with educational software I learned to edit and create animated interactive whiteboards and manipulate images.

Having worked as a freelance contractor both in-house and from home, I have strong organisation and communication skills and can work well independently or fit quickly into a team.
