About me

Good day,

This sounds very appealing, and I'd like to be considered for the role. I'm an award-winning copywriter at Associate Creative Director level. You can view my client list and my work at both and

But here's a deeper take on my background.

Originally from Manchester, it was around 12 years when I got my first break in ad-land writing recruitment ads in London at TMP. With stints at small boutique agencies and EURO RSCG, I slowly moved up the ranks until Y&R Dubai came calling in 2006. Here, I worked on many blue chip accounts; Harvey Nichols being the main brand. On to BBDO Proximity, where I was brand custodian for Emirates Airline, a number of banks, hotels, property developers, and hotels, including the Monarch Hotel (now H Hotel) for which I won digital awards in site development and copywriting.

I then enjoyed great success at Leo Burnett over four years; taking pride in solid day-to-day work and winning their first ever Cannes Lions in 2011 (two for Radio & Scriptwriting) and a Grand Prix at MENA Cristal, along with over 70 international awards for them during that period. I also played a strong role in the pitch/presentation of Qtel (Qatar telecoms) that led to the opening of a new LB office in Doha, 2012.

I've led major integrated campaigns, mentored many junior teams and slowly honed the skill of when and how to delegate. I have always motivated junior teams by helping them embrace the reality that one day they will be leaders, so to start expressing their leadership qualities through their own time and job management skills.

The same applied at Grey Singapore in 2013. I was headhunted to lead the ATL GSK team for Panadol Global. Although the work was a little less exciting than what I was used to, I believe I learnt the most at this place from a leadership perspective. After a year there, I went freelance as a Creative Director (with stints at Ogilvy Singapore) to allow myself time for the production and release of a debut music album I wrote, including a children's poetry book that was released by the publishers in June 2015. In December 2015 I returned to London.

To sum up; having worked in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, I've developed a pretty broad mind, patience, thick skin and a strong network of friends and colleagues. You'll find that I'm wonderful with people, including clients, and have and will always use positivity and belief to motivate those around me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best

Sunny
