About me
I am an extremely versatile and dynamic designer with a passion to create and develop very powerful, fresh and compelling designs. I have the ability to produce visually stunning 3D photorealistic renders, and consist of excellent illustrative freehand skills. I have a sound knowledge and understanding for a multitude of different manufacturing and production techniques, spanning from injection moulding to thermoforming manufacturing methods.
I currently work as an industrial package designer for a leading design agency, where I work as part of a creative team to produce and design innovative and functional packaging for large corporate retailers. Here, I have developed a diverse set of skills, which include developing conceptual ideas to finalised functional products, producing fully specified engineering drawings, implementing strategic design plans to ensure all objectives and targets are met, developing working mock ups and prototypes, and creating high quality graphical visualisations.
As a design engineer for a leading manufacturer and distributer of washroom products, I was responsible for developing contemporary and bespoke conceptual designs to ensure major contract deals with large corporate clients were secured. This entailed designing products for injection moulding processes, and I have developed an understanding for techniques such as ‘twin shot moulding' and ‘in mould labeling'. An organised approach and good management technique allowed for me to meet tight budget costs and deadlines.
As an intern for Case New Holland (CNH), I generated and developed new ideas from concept to 3D CAD, and considered design for assembly. Liaising with colleagues, senior management and operators developed upon my practical sense for differentmanufacturing processes.
My versatility and project management skills can be seen through my freelance consultancy projects. I am very proficient in many software packages, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash. Solidworks and 360 Photoview rendering package.
