About me

My history in Art is a long one. It started in the early 80's with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Printmaking. I then tutored art until 1997 when I completed a Degree in Illustration, which lead to a more commercial aspect in my work. I produced various commissions in both Fine Art and in Illustration. In 2000 I designed artwork to be used to create funding for wildlife rescue and care. This new found passion and love for Flora and fauna continues to this day.
Patterns and colors have always been a central part of my work and I have continued to design and create my own artwork, ceramics and photography, including a range of Greeting Cards. 2013 brought a fresh focus in my continuing development with an interest in the medium of Scratchboard and a return to Lino Reduction. I completed the ABSPD online SPD Course as well as completing a Cert IV in Graphic Design.
I now live in the beautiful Far North Queensland where I run Art Courses and Art Retreats, as well as Surface Pattern Designs of course!
