About us

Studio Roso is an inter-disciplinary practice founded in 2008 by Danish designers Sophie Nielsen and Rolf Knudsen, after graduating from Design Products at the Royal College of Art, London.

The Studio fuses an interest in architecture, art and design to create site-specific installations, each responding to the essence of the environment it inhabits.

Sophie and Rolf work intimately with every-day materials, finishes and light to recreate the experience of the extraordinary. They create structures which transcend the physical form and produce responses which can be seen as emotional layers of the physical.

Studio Roso specialises in designing and making permanent art installations for public institutions, private clients and global brands.
