About me
I'm based at my studio in The Bluecoat in Liverpool and I've had numerous clients over the last 30 years, character designing, illustrating and designing for children's educational books, magazine publishing, food and toy graphics packaging for the US/European/Japanese markets, children's IP creation for TV and animation properties, drawing and writing comic strips, branding, style guides, concepts and artwork for advertising campaigns.
I created the concept and characters, and all the artwork behind the Kellogg's Fruit Winders product and I've created all the artwork and assets for the BBC BAFTA winning website "Level Up".
Other work includes artwork for Hasbro brands such as My Little Pony, Mr Potato Head and Go-Jetters for the BBC .
I've also created and pitched animation IP ideas at international animation markets such as MIPCOM in Cannes and Miami Kidscreen for over 10 years.
This lead to an IP of mine called "Bear Bud and Boo" being optioned by Technicolor.
The chosen animation partner was Brown Bag films.
I've designed, storyboarded, created the character/background assets for animation and written an animated comedy series for a Youtube, animated by ex Aardman animators.
I've recently illustrated some picture books about children with HIV, for the charity Chiva ,and I am currently writing and drawing a regular Dinosaur comic strip,which I've done for more than 10 years.
I worked with Oxford University Press and the BBC on an interactive storytelling project, to tell the story of Romeo and Juliet.

I re-imagined all the characters to appeal to street style conscious teenagers.
I wascommissioned to create 12 comic strips to tell various local histories in Liverpool for a year of culture, including the Bootle Blitz of 1941 and the story of the inventor of Mecanno.
My editorial work has appeared in magazines including Mixmag, creating the Aphex Twin comic strip, and others such as Jockey Slut and DJ Magazine.
Select Magazine commissioned me to travel to Berlin and illustrate the dancefloor of the new Berghain night club, as no interior shots yet existed, due to a no photos policy.
Other editorial illustration clients include The Guardian Newspaper, The Times Educational Supplement and. many titles for EMAP and Bauer publishing.
I've also designed streetwear and Urban Vinyl toys for Nike, and I've had Representation /Agents in USA, The Netherlands, Japan and the UK .
My Personal work is under the moniker of Lord Beastly and is streetart/club culture inspired and I'm exhibiting in 2 venues during the Liverpool Independents Biennial
